Auditions

Like the Summer Sun - The Bard meets the Beatles.

Rehearsals: beginning week of June 1, will take place either online or outdoors using social distancing precautions. 

Performances: All shows will take place during the weekends of Aug. 6-9 and Aug. 13-16. The schedule will be subject to prevailing conditions.  

Seeking: We’re looking for actors to deliver sonnets and soliloquies and singers to perform Beatles songs.

This production is an expanded version of this past winter’s LCT Cabaret. In our show, we interweave Shakespeare’s words with the music of the Fab Four. 

To audition, please make a video recording of yourself.  

Singers: Please submit a pop-style song delivered theatrically.  Consider that you are acting the song rather than performing a concert-style version. 

Actors: Please send us a performance of a Shakespearean soliloquy or sonnet of your choice.

The deadline for submissions is June 1. Please email them to hello@lawnchairtheatre.org. If the file is too big to email, you can post it to YouTube and email the link.
