"THE TEMPEST", ACT V, EPILOGUE

THIS SUMMER, WE REVISIT SHAKESPEARE'S LAST PLAY, HIS FAREWELL TO HIS CRAFT.

On a remote island, the sorcerer Prospero, rightful Duke of Milan, conjures up a storm to bring his usurpers under his control. With the help of the island's magical beings, he carries out a plan to bring his usurpers down while securing his daughter Miranda's future. There's romance, magic,  intrigue, and a pair of Shakespearean fools.

Our Tempest stirs in today's waters - an ocean of plastic and the discards of civilization.

This summer, LawnChair veteran Julie Thaxter-Gourlay directs.
